FEBA Journey at UNFCCC COP 29

Friends of EbA 11 November 2024

The twenty-ninth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC COP29), hosted by Azerbaijan, will take place from 11-22 November 2024 in Baku.

In collaboration with the Azerbaijan COP29 Presidency, IUCN will host a dedicated Nature Day on 21 November, focusing on “Nature and Biodiversity / Indigenous Peoples / Gender Equality / Oceans and Coastal Zones.” Further, IUCN is hosting and participating in a number of side events and activities during COP29, showcasing the Union’s work and expertise.

FEBA Launches Publication on Ecosystem-Based Adaptation in the KMGBF at COP 16 in Colombia

Friends of Ecosystem-based Adaptation (FEBA) has launched a pivotal report at the 16th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).

In January 2024, FEBA established an expert working group under the guidance of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) Secretariat and the Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) to work on supporting national target setting and implementation of Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KMGBF) Targets 8 and 11.
